Hair loss scalp
treatment in KL
Hair loss rarely begins with the hair itself. In most cases, the cause is a scalp that has been overlooked for too long — weakened follicles, excess DHT, poor circulation, or build-up that slowly suffocates hair at the root.
Book on WhatsAppWhy hair loss starts at the scalp
Most guests have already tried switching shampoos or adding supplements before they arrive. These rarely resolve the problem because they do not reach the source.
Follicle miniaturisation
Hair follicles are living structures. When the scalp environment becomes hostile — through inflammation, hormonal imbalance, or poor blood flow — follicles gradually miniaturise. Over time, each new hair grows finer and shorter until it stops growing altogether.
DHT and hormonal triggers
The most common driver is DHT (dihydrotestosterone), a hormone that binds to follicle receptors and triggers miniaturisation. This affects both hereditary and hormonally-driven hair loss, including post-partum and stress-related shedding.
Scalp inflammation and build-up
Chronic inflammation, excess sebum, and product build-up restrict the oxygen and nutrients that follicles need to produce healthy hair. An inflamed or congested scalp is rarely addressed by at-home care alone.
Restricted microcirculation
Poor blood flow to the scalp limits nutrient delivery to follicles. This is why scalp massage forms part of every NŌMI treatment — improving microcirculation is a direct and measurable step in supporting hair growth.

Signs your scalp needs attention
Hair loss takes many forms. The Fuyu programme is suited to guests who are experiencing one or more of the following.
- Noticeable thinning at the crown, hairline, or parting
- Increased shedding when washing or brushing — more than what feels normal
- A scalp that feels persistently tight, tender, oily, or itchy alongside visible thinning
- Fine, flat hair that lacks the volume or density it once had
- Hair loss linked to hormonal changes, stress, or post-partum recovery
- A widening parting or visible scalp that was not there before
Fuyu —
Active Growth
Scalp treatment for hair loss & thinning
Fuyu is NŌMI's specialist programme for hair loss and scalp thinning. It combines three clinically-backed treatment approaches into a single two-hour session, targeting the root causes rather than the symptoms alone.
Every session begins with a detailed scalp analysis — we assess follicle density, scalp condition, and oil balance before treatment begins. Each session is calibrated to your scalp, not a generic protocol.
How the Fuyu treatment works
Your appointment follows a consistent six-step protocol. Every step is deliberate — none are skipped.
-
01
Scalp analysis
Your therapist uses a scalp camera to assess follicle condition, density, sebum levels, and any areas of concern. This takes approximately fifteen minutes and shapes the rest of the session.
-
02
Deep scalp cleanse
A thorough cleanse removes product build-up, excess sebum, and surface residue that would otherwise reduce the absorption of treatment actives.
-
03
MTS microneedling
Micro-channelling is performed across the treatment zones to prime the scalp, stimulate the follicle environment, and maximise the uptake of what follows.
-
04
DHT-blocking serum application
Targeted actives are applied and worked into the scalp. Absorption is significantly enhanced by the micro-channels opened in the previous step.
-
05
Red light therapy
The session closes with red light applied across the scalp to support cellular regeneration, extend the active growth phase, and reduce any residual inflammation.
-
06
Scalp massage
A firm, targeted massage improves microcirculation and supports the final absorption of treatment actives. Most guests find this the most relaxing part of the session.
What to expect at your appointment
NŌMI operates by appointment only, in a private treatment room at Bukit Jalil. There are no walk-ins.
Arrive prepared
Come with clean, dry hair and no dry shampoo or heavy styling product on the scalp. A brief consultation before treatment begins ensures your therapist understands your hair loss history.
Realistic timeline
Most guests notice a reduction in shedding after two to three sessions. Visible improvements in density and thickness typically emerge after a course of four to six sessions, spaced two to four weeks apart.
Unhurried by design
Each Fuyu session is allocated a minimum of two hours. Your therapist will not rush through the protocol — every step is given the time it requires.

Most guests begin to notice a reduction in shedding within the first two to three sessions. Meaningful improvements in hair thickness and density typically become visible after a course of four to six sessions. We recommend scheduling sessions two to four weeks apart for sustained results.
Yes. The Fuyu programme is designed to address both hereditary and hormonally-driven hair loss, including post-partum shedding and hair loss linked to hormonal changes. The DHT-blocking actives target the hormonal trigger at follicle level, while red light therapy and microneedling support the scalp environment regardless of cause.
If itchiness, inflammation, or excess oil is a significant concern alongside your hair loss, your therapist may recommend beginning with the Natsu — Derma Calm programme to address scalp inflammation before progressing to Fuyu. Your scalp analysis appointment will clarify the best route.
MTS microneedling uses very fine micro-needles at a depth calibrated for scalp tissue. Most guests describe the sensation as a mild pressure or tingling rather than pain. Sensitivity varies — your therapist will adjust the treatment based on your comfort throughout the session.
